What happens if i get separated from my spouse during my temporary residence status.?

I have summited my paperwork for two years this year they was supposed to give me my permanent residence, i have broke up with my wife because financial problems. It's any other paper work or i will go to another status because my spouse brook up with me and kick me out? I have already went to have my fingerprints done and am waiting for new permanent card.
