Leopard gecko and day care?

My mom baby sits infants and I want to know if I kept the Leo downstairs would the baby's upstairs be able to catch it if I have proper cleaning practices is that a huge risk please help need to convinse parents. CDC says it's a huge risk which I believe is a over reaction
