What are the chances that i'll catch the virus?
All of my kids have had bad colds/coughs for about a week now. Green noses and alot of mucous. My oldest son has a bad sinus infection & ear infection which the doctor said "caused" him to throw up sat. night. The next night, 2 more kids threw up a bunch of mucous. The next day, another son threw up mucous. There has been NO diarrhea at all. I'm horrible at dealing with vomit, so my huband has been cleaning the kids and vomit while me and my youngest son stay clear, just incase it's more than mucous. Also, my husband has been sleeping on the couch for 2 days just to make sure he doesn't infect me or the baby. This morning, he wanted a "quickie" (sex), so we had sex. We didn't kiss, or even face each other at all, but of course he had his hands on me. After sex, he typically gets dizzy, lightheaded, and somewhat nauseaus. Today, he couldn't slow his heartrate down after we were done, and he threw up. After that, he said that he was so sore from throwing up, that if the pain didn't dull out, he'd throw up again. Well, the pain didn't stop, he threw up more times, and I just stayed away. My husband has been diagnosed as having "thick blood" which is why he gets dizzy and stuff after physical activity or if he stands too fast. Since we didn't kiss, and I haven't been around ANYONE'S vomit, if this is a virus, is there any chance that i'll catch it? And before anyone says that it's aireborne, i've checked about 50 websites, including the cdc site, and stomach bugs are NOT airborne. They infect people via the fecal oral route. So should I worry at this point, or am I in the clear? Any advice is appreciated.
